CorrDyn’s three principals lead our efforts across a variety of specializations within our service areas.
JAMES WINEGAR
James Winegar, CEO and Enterprise Architect, founded CorrDyn in 2015 with the goal of providing clients the level of service and expertise traditionally provided by only the largest consulting firms.
James holds a Master’s Degree in Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where he is also on the faculty, teaching Machine Learning at Scale, Fundamentals of Data Engineering, and Machine Learning Operations.
As Software Product & Platform Engineering Senior Manager and Infrastructure Principal at Accenture, James led very large infrastructure optimization and integration projects for many of the world's largest companies across cloud, on-premise, security, and data.
He brings extensive expertise from a variety of industries including finance, telecom, logistics, consumer packaged goods, non-profit/association, healthcare billing/management, and entertainment.
James holds numerous certifications including:

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
James resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Chao, and, in his limited spare time, loves watching science fiction movies and eating tacos.

ROSS KATZ
Ross Katz, Principal and Data Science Lead, leads our data science and data engineering teams.
Ross also holds a Master’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley in Information and Data Science (MIDS).
He began his career at the Corporate Executive Board as a Senior Analyst where he led and authored analyses and studies for Fortune 500 companies. He has worked for several non-profit organizations in strategic planning capacities, including founding ActWorthy, a social media platform based on the values of non-violence and non-discrimination. In 2012, Ross began working at 2U, a global leader in education technology, where he was among the first hires in the data and analytics division. As Senior Operations Manager and Director of Post-Enrollment Analytics, Ross managed operations, analysis, and reporting for dozens of online masters programs, and led multiple efforts including retention modeling and projection, data standardization, analysis, and reporting, and operational analyses that improved efficiency and effectiveness of student and faculty service.
Ross has expertise across industries including retail, e-commerce, non-profit/association, energy, biomedical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and entertainment.
Ross holds multiple certifications, including:
• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer
• AWS Certified Data & Analytics Specialist
• AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialist
He has a high level of expertise across data warehouse solutions including Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse, and Snowflake.
Ross lives in Iowa City, Iowa, with his wife and daughter. When he is not working or parenting, he is practicing or teaching yoga, striving to master guitar, and trying to rediscover his long lost golf swing.

NICK LORENSON
Nick Lorenson, Principal, Software Architect, ERP Practice Lead, is an experienced software developer and technical lead who specializes in architecture and solution design.
Nick’s specialties are product strategy, software engineering, complex application development, cloud-native architecture, systems integration, and enterprise business software implementations.
Nick started in tech doing freelance web development for local small business owners. He brought this experience forward to work at an enterprise healthcare company, where he saw a big disconnect between engineering effort and customer impact.
During his tenure in enterprise healthcare, Nick led a team to develop full stack web applications that improved end user productivity and enabled healthcare workers to capture and report on measures for quality of care through the federal Meaningful Use program.
After leaving the healthcare industry, he joined CorrDyn to help grow the consultancy and pursue his dream of leading highly skilled teams building real solutions to complex problems.
At CorrDyn, Nick’s accomplishments include leading several large e-commerce ERP implementations in the NetSuite ecosystem, including integration with legacy, on-premise systems and multiple third-party marketplaces.
His industry experience includes enterprise healthcare, retail/e-commerce, and non-profit organizations.
Nick lives in downtown Nashville, TN, where he knows all the best restaurants and how to avoid the tourists. In his free time he advises the board of the Nashville Tree Conservation Corps and hangs out with a Great Dane named Goose.
